BRITISH FRESH-WATER FISHES 1879
(Drawn from Nature by
A.F.Lydon printed by B.Fawcett). By
William Houghton. LONDON: WILLIAM
MACKENENZIE, 69, LUDGATE HILL, E.C. EDINBURGH & LONDON. .
|

122 year-old Handsome superb original chromolithographs
of Game Fish (salmon,
Trout, Pike, Perch etc.). Notable not only for the fine compositions showing one
or two fish on the riverbank, but for the detailed topography in the background.
In addition to the plates are engravings depicting the waters of the British
Isles in which the fishes are found. These splendid original plates are becoming
increasingly rare, since they are a favorite among interior designers and print
galleries.
